Lumanians Unite!:

After all that grim metal, let's take a break for something fun. Barnes and Barnes may not be a household name, but I'm sure everyone has heard their classic "Fish Heads" song. It truly stand as one of the greatest novelty records of all time. I don't remember any of their other songs gaining popularity like that one did; but I was a devoted fan of Dr. Demento and he spun their records several times a month. Every track herehttp://www2.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif is really twisted, strange, and generally funny in a disturbing way. I think "Fish Heads" is quite a bit lighter than most of the dark humour on display here. Just check out the creepy "Gumby Jaws Lament" (which features Weird Al Yankovic on accordion). Listen to this song and then compare it to Faith No More's "RV" from their Angel Dust album and notice the strong influence.

If you can handle politically incorrect humour, low brow jokes accompanied by bizarre melodies and goofy songs...then help yourselves to these hilarious songs from a group that influenced The Dead Milkmen, They Might Be Giants, Today's Sounds, and uh...Faith No More?.
