Are The Strokes still considered the modern day saviors of rock and roll? Who can say....but they are, without question, great songwriters. And someone seemed to think that it would be a good idea to release a cd of midi recordings of songs from "Is This It?" A fairly fun and cute little novelty treat for fans of the band.

thanks a lot for your comment! Like your blog a lot, really digging the unique and quirky (in a good way) selection here. The Japanese stuff sounds especially intriguing, will definitely download some of that.
Don't have the Alan Lamb album, would actually like to get it myself. Seems like it's a bit similiar in concept to Alvin Lucier's Music On A Long Thin Wire.
