Salute to the Legends:

Although influenced by popular progressive rock groups of their time, Italy's legendary Banco del Mutuo Soccorso added a strong classical and folk influence to their sphere; creating some of the most amazing and beautiful rock music you've ever heard.

This is their first album and it's a killer blast of jazzy rock with bits of medieval neo-classical prog around the edges. The musicianship is consistently tight with excellent drumming, wild keyboard flourishes, solid bass, and beautiful, aggressive guitar work. Francesco di Giacomo uses a semi-operatic approach with his vocal style and the results are thrilling.

In my opinion, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso isn't just one of the best Italian rock bands, they ARE the best Italian rock bands! This is a great album and very tough to get now.
