The Hummingbirds were an Australian band formed in the late 80's who were a fairly big success down under but failed to really make waves in the rest fo the world. They have a dreamy jangly pop sound with fabulous boy/girl harmonies. A close reference point to their sound would be The Primitives or possibly early REM. "Lovebuzz" was released on the RooArt label in 1989; and is a splendid pop album that has been long swept under the rug of time.
