Sonic Architects:

Circle is an appropriate name for this Finnish band who create masterful mini epics in hypnotic harmonies that are balanced on that long long fence line of the endless groove. The way they write songs is almost akin to constructing a building. The bass line lays down a simple, yet strong foundation. The drums provide a propulsion which keeps the frame of the sonic structure together. The guitars then splash color and style with harmonies that seem to blossom and bloom, revealing new layers of depth with each passing minutes.

This is an early album, way before they incorporated vocals and a love of heavy metal into the mix. "Pori" consists of ten tracks of repetitive, minimalist space rock that serves it's purpose both as background music while you work, or serious headphone exploration. Fascinating listening.
